I really think Nintendo should do it, maybe they will present it at E3? I'm thinking bot a DS and a Wii Client, maybe even at PC Client. If they are I'm going to buy som shares in Nintendo :)

i don't think they'll announce that, online gaming is not really in their favour. it would sell like hot cakes of course.
I doubt it will happen this year...but they'd be stupid not to do it. Pokemon is practically the perfect franchise for a mass-market MMORPG.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
i think nintendo owes it to the people, becouse al the crap pokemon games they keep selling. which means there are to many morons buying them and we will never see an evolution in the franchise. i really hope nintendo shows some more effort and just do it. Give the people what they really want nintendo.
I started out typing this saying it could be interesting, but as I was typing it I decided it just wouldn't work so had to start over.
First off, Diamond/Pearl/Revolution is about as close as you're going to get. You get to raise your Pokemon, trade, and battle with friends. That's all a Pokemon game is about and making it an MMO wouldn't improve that.
It might be interesting if it were a traditional MMO and your Pokemon actually form your standard party, but that would completely defeat the purpose of an MMO. You would never have to interact with anybody except for battling someone (which you can already do) because you're your own group.
I also thought for a minute that it might be fun if you're the Pokemon or if you get to have a more personal connection with a single Pokemon (like Pikachu) but that would also really defeat the purpose of the game. True, you have 300+ classes which would be neat, but it wouldn't be a Pokemon game and it would fail.
So yeah, no Pokemon MMO needed, they're just going to keep releasing the same exact game with different names.
i think it would be awesome... I picture it as a mixture of WoW and Pokemon Colisseum... you start in a certain city... maybe you can choose between 10 or 15 small cities and like 4 or 6 really big cities... and there would be like to giant continents with different pokemons... you would play it from the 3rd person view like wow... you could speak with everybody ( it would be a must to have something like a language filter or something like that... for the kids ¿?¿? ) but the key factor is to respect the handheld games gameplay... you can only capture pokemon if you are walking in tall grass or inside a dungeon or swimming... and the figths would be like the pokemon consoles games... ( also you would be able to challenge everyone that walks right by you... and the would be the possibility to join a fight as an spectator or something like)... there would be like 50 gyms... where the gym leaders would be sort-of GM... there would be tournaments... and maybe the winner of a tournament could challenge that city gym leader to overthrone him or something like that...
Basically is making a 3d pokemon game... where there is a massive world where you encounter with different trainers whom you can challenge...
Yes, but what color would it be? I know they'll probably do it eventually.... But seriously how much friggin Pokemon does the world need?

Yeah it'd be cool, but Nintendo doesn't want to make those kind of games. They would have to charge by the month to make any money, and I don't think they're interested in that type of thing...
Then again, they moved their offices to Silicon Valley. But, if everyone is playing Pokemon MMORPG then they won't buy any more Nintendo games... Like whats the last Blizzard game you bought?
