What? What happened? When does this gen end?

Anyways, who said Sony doesn't target the casual market?

This is a joke.

Wow ps3 beat 360 and wii another drop.

Could the drop in wii sales in america and the increase of ps3 sales be caused all by littlebigplanet and resistance?

Or are there other factors?

Ummmmmmmmm No. First, neither of these games will push systems and that's pretty much known. Usually when Wii sales are down, it's due to lack of units (namely in the US).

I find it simply amazing that the Wii can still outsell the competition having no bundle and in many stores being force bundled at a near equal price.

sell like a mortal console for the first time in 1 year and apparently it's over. This same thing happened last year to the same series of "It's over now!" or "Sony domination begins now!" and see where the last year took us... It can't be that by and large a casual audience is in that "Back to school fever" the one that most families go into mid-late August until September could it?

when the PS3 consistently outsells Wii in every region week by week then you can brag about how it's over. Until then however why bother?

The pacing doesn't even leave PS3 passing in time.. it leaves the gap growing week by week, when the gap shrinks... then let's talk.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

well what can i say. its a slow month every year around this time. but i do find it a shoch that the Wii has had a downward trend so fast.

wonder how long it will take for dmand to pick back up

if the new ps3 comes out soon in good supply, it CAN (NOT will) be ahead of the wii for the week ending aug. 23 and/or aug 30.

Maybe... i'm surprised people just aren't buying the "limited edition" MGS4 bundles. They had a whole bunch at Toys R Us and Gamestop today. Way better deal.

i been looking hard, 40gb outsold, and they have 2 mgs4 bundles for 787$.

i think people will just want to get the cheapest available and really don't care a BC.

787 jeez. Too bad you don't live by me. They've got retail priced 80 MGS bundles by me.

The Wii has a Wii Sports bundle.

This whole thread is ridiculous, the Wii still isn't on shelves consistently... neither is the PS3 right now...

None of these numbers mean anything but supply right now.
