Because it's incorrect.

Yes...that is some of the worst I have ever seen.  And you did draw attention to it by annoucing that you couldn't spell.  He was just trying to help.  The first step to recovery is admitting you having a problem...but the second step is trying to fix it and thanking the people who help you along the way.
