I really don't see why Nintendo has to apologize. They realized "Hey, this event is big enough where other print will get a hold of it. We'll talk about Wii Music now and show off a Zelda game at GDC". Simple, effective plan, that should work for everyone, but the hardcore whine too much.
I read that originally, and I'll say that I am very happy to hear that.

2nd Mario was announced already right ? - i take it as 100% coming
Zelda ? TP is a GC games so Wii really needs it's Zelda - i take it as 100% coming
Metroid ? not 100% sure about this but I'm 90% convinced that we will have a second Metroid in a form or another this generation
I still dislike her :)
