I think if someone does the same type of list for PS3/X360 it will pretty much have the same Quality to Shovelware ratio. I mean the xmas season upon us, so yeah...

AGREED. Last gen you couldn't go into a store without tripping over a PS2 game. Market Leader=More software. My problem is my pocketbook can't accomidate all the 12 or so quality games I wanna get. *tear*

Gaddamn, this is gonna be a busy Fall season between work, university, social life, and GAMING... Of all those games, I'm interested in:
9/22 - Wario Land: Shake It! (MUST HAVE)
10/1 - Monster Lab
11/11 - Mushroom Men
- Call of Duty: World at War
11/18 - Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (MUST HAVE)
- Tomb Raider Underground
12/2 - Rygar: The Battle of Argum
12/15 - Little King's Story
12/22 - Deadly Creatures
Here's hoping Little King's Story and Deadly Creatures get delayed to Q1 2009. I doubt Rygar will make it out this year too. We shall see. But even if half of those games turn out well, this is gonna be a very great Autumn for the Wii!

Ghostbusters: The Video Game
and that is from the absolute worst month for good games, and both of them will be on other systems too, and I'm sure you would champion those as great games for whatever system you like. Overall I can see at least 20 games that are definitly worth purchasing, even if I may only buy 3-4 of them.
being the market leader means you get tons of crap too, but it doesn't mean every game sucks.
I love how people are going "meh, it's all shovelware" but I can tell without even looking that it's going to average out to 1 top quality game each month and about 4 solid games along with that.
Sorry, but when you think about it, Gamecube barely had any shovelware at all, but the simple fact was not enough games were coming out each month. This is now what is happening for the PS3 and 360. Lots of huge budget, big name titles, but just simply not enough games to bring either system back up on top.

Only an idiot would expect all 138 titles to be all blockbusters anyway. There's are a few potential gems in that list of upcoming games - only the most jaded haters would refuse to recognize that.
Quick, someone calculate the shovelware to "qualityware" ratio for the PS2's 7,000+ titles.
Give me a frikkin break people. Get off the hypocritical shovelware angle.
