Its a seven page thread, so stuff like this is bound to happen. Moreover ,the arguments arent too thrilling so cant read through

Like somebody said earlier in this thread Zelda has one of the most loyal followings, and apparently god of war does too.
Kratos has killed 3 Gods, the Fates and returned from the Underworld 3 times. Also, anybody who thinks that Kratos is retarded and poorly equiped should actually try playing a God of War game. Kratos would win, likely without much of a challenge. Seriously, how much damage could Link do when Kratos has endured everything from Zeus' lightning to striking attacks that would cut a normal man in half? How many times could Link survive attacks like the Army of Hades, Cronos' Rage or Zeus' Gauntlet? What about the Rage of the Gods/Titans? Don't bother with posting a point-by-point argument because they assume that Link would fight flawlessly while Kratos would make mistakes which is a silly assumption.

Well, if you're going to give Kratos all his abilities, then Link gets all of his. I think Link could weather those attacks pretty easily with Magic Armor, Staff of Byrna, Clock of invisibility, or even a half decently used Mirror Shield and then a few faires and some fairy tears or golden chu juice, master Sword to reflect various attacks and do extra damage against Kratos obviously more evil nature.
Heck, I just want to see Link with just the Cane of Pacci from Minish cap. Piss off Kratos by turning him upside down constantly :P
If you want to go with Lightnight blasts, in the SNES game, Aganim was sending of Lightning blasts and Link only took a couple hearts damage from those at most, that was fairly early on in the game. Then you have blind and that eyeball from level 6, who shot freaking lazer beams that still only did around 2 or 3 hearts.
I'm not going to dismiss Kratos, i know he's powerful and all, but I'm just pointing out that Link may not be powerful, but he's got resources to deal with just about anything. Even not working at peak performance, he'd still weather a lot more than you seem to think.

Remember Grey Acumen, the Staff of Byrna would not protect Link for very long, the Cloak of Invisibility wouldn't protect Link any better than the Helmet of Hades protected Perseus, the Magic Armor makes Link a slow, easy target and would require a massive number of rupees to survive for long and the Mirror Shield would offer little protection from the Army of Hades. A best case scenario for Link would be to survive for a decent length of time but I personally think that would be unlikely.
but what you fail to grasp is that link has the power of the tri force, he cant die just be reborn in a new form, so it would be like this
yeha i just killed that little link after a 7 hour battle i am pretty pooped *knock on door*
well geeze that cant be my pizza i just ordered it
link kicks in door ready for another go
holy crap how did you..but i just....
@Grey Acumen
1) I think what you mean is gameplay=/= base abilities.
This is still gameplay, so it can't be used. You assume that Aghanim's lighting would do the same damage as Kratos' lightning. Heck, there are a lot of things you're assuming, basically to your own magical advantage. You're also combining what you go through in LttP and using it in an argument in a completely different universe where there ARE no hearts or heart containers. You can't convert something like that. Do you see how confusing and useless using gameplay in an argument like this is now?
Base abilities would be natural abilities btw. In which case we would acknowledge Link's use of the Master Sword and what the Master Sword's purpose is, which is the blade of evil's bane. In other words, it's really only useful against Ganon and evil creatures, which Kratos is not.
Kratos on the other hand, is extremely agile and strong. His threshold of pain outweighs Links tenfold easily. He's been to hell for crying out loud and came back. Link really isn't that agile at all, he's not naturally strong and relies on his items for everything. And that's where the roadblock comes in because of the different time splits in Zelda and the fact that we don't know how Link would use one item with another. You have to consider two variables: 1) How Link would use the items. 2) What effect it would have on Kratos. You can't make any of Link's strategies work without knowing both of these. And that's another roadblock, because they're from two different universes.
This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*
