I bet that before the end of Jan 2009 the 3rd place will be taken by GoW2...and by the end of this generation CoD 6 will push back one place everything else on this sales chart.

Call of Duty 5 for sure, followed by Gears 2 will have the best sales of the mentioned.

I didn't know PC's followed the same generations as consoles.  Just so we are on the same page here, what generation did Half-Life 2 release in?  I was seeing a November 2004 release date.  So, that makes it Gen 6 for PC's? 

Sounds like you just didn't like the games you saw in the list so had to find a way to make it invalid.  Go make a thread about gameplay, and whine about sales over there.

PC really doesnt have generations, its jsut there, retro to current games are mostly all BC with current systems. Its only matter of if you have the correct hardware.

LOL why are people arguing with SSJ2 when most people here don't care about PC. He is an admitted PC fanboy who is always looking to put console games down . To the OP just put consoles only and maybe ssj12 follow the rules and stay on topic instead of this mindless attempt to add PC games which are apparently immune to everything. Honestly not even sure why his wasting his time though I guess he really really wants us to care about PC sales since in his imaginary world it is actually listed on the front page of the site LOL. Bottom line is you can't win against SSJ12 when it comes to PC games especially when being compared to console games so why bother.

That argument gets so old.  I've played PC fps games online all the way back to quake, duke, UT (series), CS, the entire battlefield series 1942 to 2142, and on and on.  A lot of those were on shitty dialup connections or LAN.  Guess what? I still enjoy Halo multiplayer.  Every game is different in it's own way and I like them for different reasons. You have games that are twitch fests (ala quake, UT), more tactical team based (CS), to huge scale battles (BF series),  Halo is more of a run & gun game with a good amount of team based strategy behind it.  It's easy to pick up and play with a couple friends and have a good time.  Sometimes I'm in the mood for that, others it's time for something else.  I think Halo gets a lot of unnecessary hate from the elitist PC community when it's a good game.  It's all opinion anyway but there is a reason why some games post huge numbers and others do not.

OT: I think Gears 2 will surpass Gears 1.  Then COD5 will settle somewhere in the middle of that list.  Too soon to know what else might show up.
