Somewhere between the 8.0-8.7 range. I can't see it getting anything higher than that(as far as the average is concerned, of course some reviews will rate it higher and some lower)

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Not that I think it will turn out the same way, but there were tons of people who were saying that Lair had only received glowing previews without any talk of flaws before it was released ... Game previews are always amazingly optimistic in part because harsh previewers don't get the opportunity to preview games in the future, and partially because you only get to play a (very) tiny portion of the game that has been purposefully choosen because it will demo well and is then polished to an unusually high level. I'm not saying it is, but there is the possibility that Little Big Planet could be one of those games that previews really well ... If you've ever downloaded a physics demo for something like fluid dynamics, the 'playground' effect makes it really interesting to try a lot of things for 10 or 20 minutes; a couple hours into the game the 'playground' effect will have (likely) worn off and the game will run the risk of getting very stale. |
indeed, but reviewers has played it countless of times, for over an hour as well.
I dont think we will see the same flaws in games we saw last year. Sony has pushed their games back to eternity, but I think it was in an effort to avoid things like Lair from happening again and provide more polish.
This is also Sony's biggest title this winter, and has been playable for awhile. IMO, the game was completed to a satisfactory level as early as March, but they are delaying it to add levels, features, and polish this thing up as pretty as possible.
I mean this game is the first of its kind, the fun factor is definitely there as we have read in many previews. There just isn't enough complexity to have many things go wrong. Its a horizontal platformer. I think it will get mid-90s on Metacritic.
Its a PS3 exclusive. It will achieve high review scores leading to shouts of 'sony paid for a good review!!!'
I predict 92/93 metacritic

I don't think it'll be as high as it perhaps should be
It should manage 90+ no problem
