Forums - Nintendo - When do you expect Nintendo to release a new handheld?

I've been on the fence about getting a DS lately...I've always been much more of a "console guy", but I guess I'm willing to give handheld gaming a try.

The DS is now what, in its 4th year?....with amazing sales every month, I imagine they wouldn't have a reason to introduce a new handheld at least for the next 2 or 3 years, right?

If I get one now, the level of support from 3rd parties for the next 3 years won't really let me down, right?

It will be announced in 2010, and released later toward the end of the year. They will still be selling the Ds though after release.

Yes, I got it mainly for kingdom hearts 358/2, but hey I'm enjoying FF III(As much as people dislike it.)I'm planning on getting FFIV next so yea. I've made myself quite a list. Nintendo never disappoints me on the handhelds.

maybe... but of course Nintendo handhelds are not exactly released in new versions very often... How long was gameboy around?



If perferring the PS3 over the 360 makes me a fanboy.. I guess I am guilty..

Late 2010 at the earliest. They would be mad if they released a new console when the old one was selling like hotcakes. We shouldn't expect a new PSP before 2 years either, SCE needs to make some profit off the PS3 before they push a new console.
