I know a few were saying the same when Microsoft came on the scene with the Xbox:
"I hate M$ never gonna buy it" "I don't like their overpriced OS not gonna buy it" "They just suck... I'm not gonna buy it"
and are now happily playing with the 360...

So if it comes just look at what they have to offer.. How silly to decide something when we don't know anything about it..

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

No way,i prefer buying a SONY product from an apple one...

Nope, I'll be busy buying the next Nintendo console

wow theres quite a lot of stubborn people here :D why would the console instantly be bad because it was made by Apple?, it also wouldnt be instantly good if it was made by Apple.

NOPE:

So to make the OP plain english.

"If apple were to make a console would you buy it because it was Apple?"

If that's really the question then no, Apple means nothing to me but Sim City 2000 and a flight simulator.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

Funny to see the level of anti-Apple fanboyism flourishing. I mean, there's no way to know what an Apple gaming console would be like, though I'm inclined to believe it would be along the extended AppleTV -line. But to say that you wouldn't even consider it because it's made by Apple? That's just stupidity.

no apple thinks that just because everything has an apple on it they can jack up the prices just because it looks nice but.... the ipod the only reason why it sells is cuz of the apple theres alot of better things out there for the same price or cheeper

Actually most people didn't give a crap about Apple untill the iPod came out. At the time it was a more reasonable device when compared to the other mp3 players. I had a Rio, and while it was small it didn't have a lot of memory, didn't display what was playing and didn't even have a menu.. the only other option you had was to buy a large hard drive based player that wouldn't fit in your pocket. The iPod was sort of in between.

Re: Pippen - Steve Jobs was not the head of Apple when that catastrophe came out. I'm sure a new Apple entry would be nothing like Pippen. More like Apple TV with games.

Would I get it? Possibly. Depends on what it offers and price doesn't it?
