Forums - Gaming - If Apple came out with a gaming system next gen would you buy it?

No,I'm stick to Sony and Nintendo, perhaps something from Microsoft...and this is my perfect example,I can't trust a company that make his first entry on the gaming scene just by brand name, only if they got the full support from third parties like with the Psone.

Around the Network

Absolutely not.

nope......

Maybe, depends on what games they got.

I might, depending on if it's worth the money or not.
Like stof said, it would NOT be just a dedicated game device. It would be an extension of the AppleTV
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Appletv). It would have a much greater focus on multimedia than games.
Sort of like the iPhone/iPod touch right now. Primarily a phone/mp3 player, but CAN ALSO play games.
Hopefully they'll make an app store sort of thing for it...

Around the Network

Nope I rather stick with nintendo.

i would buy it if it has good exclusives, but they don't really have any first party devs, i wouldn't buy it first day thought, after few years when it has good games.

I would anticipate that it would be like their other products. Extremely overpriced. An Apple iPOS console would most likely cost $2500 for no particular reason. Therefor Hell No!

I'd be too busy still being a dedicated Sony fanboy and spending $1500 on a PS4. Or maybe a $75 PSThree Slim.

Sony will prevail. My 60 gig says so.

PlayStation 3 Games:

- Rock Band
- Rock Band 2
- Soulcalibur IV
- LittleBigPlanet
- Guitar Hero: World Tour

I'm sure it would look cool as hell, cost 10 times more than it's worth have just five thorughly tested games in total so they could brag about perfect reliability and get everyone to pay outrageous sums to buy everything through their official score and find a zillion suckers to buy them.

After all they get everyone to by an overpriced IPOD and then pay a dollar for each song when they could buy many other brands of as good or better quality and download all the tunes they want for $9 a month.
I've got 900 songs for which I have paid a total of $18.
