And it is not a teletubby.  See, I can compare it to something completely irrelevant.

My two words to describe Too Human's combat so far is clunky and robotic.
Not bad, not good, but definitely looks and feel clunky and robotic....

Makes me wonder where Dennis Dyack is going with this game's combat mechanics. It's not DMC, it's not Diablo, it's not Phantasy Star, but has little bit of everything... with a clunky and robotic feel to it.

Thats exactly what i thought until I figured out I was doing it wrong. Once you actually figure out the controls its much more smooth like the video.

GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

When i said that I believed that the combat looked clunky and robotic, i was referring to that video.

Ah. Then I can honestly say i have no clue what you are talking about.

It definitely looks "stiffer" than most other games in this genre, such as GOW, DMC, and Ninja Gaiden.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. I think the combat is great. When I was watching the combat on earlier videos before I played the demo, it looked awkward and strange, but once I played the game it turned out to be very fulfilling and visceral. I think the right thumbstick being the attack button is a great idea and is implemented quite well. Shooting could be a bit better, but it is still good.

Just kiss the tip.

Dear god how many people are going to lump this in the same genre as DMC?  It has nothing in common with DMC.  Saying it is awful is an opinion, and is fine...saying it is in the same genre as GoW, DMC, and NG is just plain wrong.

It's in the same genre as DMC, GoW, and NG. Label me wrong lol

I don't think a single one of those games are RPG. Too Human's genre is extremely complicated; but its fighting style is incomparible to DMC, GoW, NG, or any other button masher. The other thing it COULD be compared to of the 3 is the guns in DMC, and by that way Too Human beats it by miles. jagged has explained it many times more then is neccesary.

its not a button masher(obviously), so you can't compare it to them. Its like comparing Pokemon to Zelda...

How the hell can you stick up for a game so much that you haven't even played yet...and all of those games have RPG elements...
