I checked Sinobi (the site he usually gets his info from) - They didn't have any first day sales numbers.

I thought Clannad for X360 was coming out this week, which was semi-anticipated. But all I found at Sinobi was the GTAIV news. So I don't know what other outlets may have the news.

There was a holyday this Friday (the Obon festival - festival of the departed) in Japan. So no data has been released.
As for 'Clannad', I don't see it in this week's releases, posted by y-koron. And I'm not sure it really has any importance. It's just a visual novel, and only sold around 40k LTD on the PS2 (though it's pretty good for the genre).
