Maybe today they can afford such comments, but they are still dumb.

By how the things are going atm in 2-3 years the gap between the Wii and the other consoles will be huge. They won't afford anymore to say "Our games don't appeal to the Wii's crowd". Some heads will fall in that company and the new leaders will make sure that their games appeal to the Wii crowd.

I agree with Epic sticking to HD consoles and PC. They have always been focused on a very specific market and that is exactly the market that will buy a 360 over (or as well as) a Wii.

Having said that, UT2004 is one of my most favorite games and I'd love to play an UT on Wii (don't care about Gears) but instead I'll continue to play UT2004 on PC and get the Conduit when it comes out. Epic's loss but not a great one.

Based on this and previous comments they do seem to resent the Wii which is just stupid and immature.

Of course Epic has a right to ignore the Wii or PS3, it's business they make their own decisions people shouldn't complain about that.  I don't really give a damn about them since i dont like shooters anymore (Unreal and UT were my favourite games few years ago), but they shouldn't justify it by saying that Wii owners would not buy their game, this is an idiotic statement that does not have any justification, they don't have any data to prove their point, hardcore games sell on the Wii everyone who thinks differently shows a bit of ignorance.

Gears is a decent game very fun but not somethin that would exite me , porting something like that would be stupid but making something from the scratch now that would be a challenge for Epic but they dont want to take any risks.

Wii fans shouldn't be offended that someone does not want to publish on Nintendo Console, we are getting much more 3rd party support then in previous generations, and if someone wants to miss out on that piece of cake fair enough.  Just like Nintendo will always ignore competition.

Some companies are so blind. The Wii user base is so big that it has all kinds of gamers, more kinds of gamers then the other two. What you can sell on the 360/PS3 can be sold on Wii but you can’t sell all what can be sold on Wii on the 360PS3.

I want Nintendo too see this and when the time comes when stupid companies realise what mistake they have done… well I want Nintendo too make them beg so they can have there games on the Wii…. Ok maybe I am harsh but that’s just anger…

i dont mind them not making wii games if they werent so disrespectfull. the ignorance about the wii really is startling in some areas. epic isnt that bad when compared to the publisher who wanted the conduit 'crapped out for a holiday release at $20'

What an epic thread.

They want to protect their business which is to license the Unreal Engine to other developers not wealthy anough to afford the high cost development for HD. The Wii paradigm shift that is happening directly threatens their business model. Instead of looking to diversify their operations by creating an engine made specifically for the Wii, they deny the importance of the Wii so they can justify their decision not to support the Wii in front of their shareholders.
