Forums - General - I gots me a PSP (+ WalMart rant)

So, yeah, I got myself a PSP. I pikced up the God of War pack, as well as Killzone: Liberation, and Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters. I wanted to get Daxter aswell, but the shop didn't have it (I'm gonna order it through the VG store when I get back). I also picked up 2 DS3 controllers and Vegas 2, but I can't use those until I get back into the UK.

Anyways, my opinions:

 - Loving the design of the GoW PSP
 - Hell to find, they must have been running the stock dry for the Madden PSP
 - UMD reader makes a lot of noise
 - Browser sucks
 - Gimme a QWERTY keyboard, damnit.
 - GoW CoO is awesome!
 - Haven't played the other two games, saving 'em for the journey back
 - Quick loading times
 - Fits into my hands perfectly, I have small hands, so they fit snugly onto the shoulder buttons and analogue stick.
 - Browser really sucks
 - Liking all multimedia features
 - Looking forward to setting up the remote play
 - The browser really fucking sucks.
 - The internet search function is good until it boots up the browser.

WalMart Rant:

After hearing so much about WalMart, you know how big they are, how much stuff they have, etc, well I wasn't impressed. They only had one brand of organic, free-range eggs, one brand of wholewheate pasta. They had four doughnut sections (four!). The toileteries section was a load of bollucks, and was miles away from the rest of the stuff. What the hells wrong with the word "tampons"? Why did the section have to be called "feminine hygiene", and what, don't men wash out here? Because there was only one, small, little stand of men's shower gel. The customer service was, for use of a better word, shit, they were rude, and they didn't know jack-all about what they were selling. And my dad had to be with me to get the PSP, facists. My dad gave them the quick "fuck you", and we were on our way to another, independant store to spend $500 on games, who didn't think that I was too young to play GoW. The food they stocked in WalMart was of such a low quality, that we've avoided it and we now just go to Publix whilst we are out here.

The American food quality needs to do quite a bit of catching up overall, to be honest.

I would also rant about the shitty media out here, aswell, but my head would explode with anger. I will say this, though: it comes to something when there is nothing but news on the TV, and yet you only find out about the Russia Georgia war on VGChartz after one week of it going on.

Your first mistake was shopping at Wal-Mart.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

Congrats on your purchase, as for where you purchased it...

"They only had one brand of organic, free-range eggs, one brand of wholewheate pasta." Isn't that like criticizing McDonald's wine selection?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Congrats on the purchase! Yeh, I have given up on the browser, but I have an iPod touch which does the job for me.

When my dad next goes to the US I am going to try and get him to get Resistance greatest hits for me, I cant stand the look of the yellow

I feel the same way about my wal-mart...

Agreed with axumblade walmart isn't meant for quality if anything targetting the lower and low-mid level income. If you want quality shops go to a fred meyers. So yea wal mart isn't going to have shit for organic food u gotta go somewhere else like a fred meyers again or a better market

I think we were anticipating something different because in the UK all the stores cater for all markets and have ample amounts of low, medium, and high priced items.

Damn Tesco and only selling on west coast of America. (Anyone living on the west coast noticed any "Fresh 'n' Easy" stores popping up? They're Tesco stores).

It's technically illegal in the US to sell an M rated game to people under the age of 17. People can get fired over that shit. Stupid ESRB.

How the hell is GoW a M rated game? Gah, I dunno.
