"Sony may have won the July NPD battle against Microsoft, but things have changed quite a bit in Japan. Shockingly, Microsoft's console has beaten the PS3 across the Pacific -- a strange coup we never saw coming. The wild demand for Tales of Vesperia, an Xbox 360 exclusive (for now) spurred sales of the non-Japanese console, defeating the unusual xenophobic fears of the Japanese gaming public ... if only for this week."

Why the hell do people keep repeating this? Its not true at all.

I agree... the Japanese are not xenophopic.  They're just nationalistic to an extreme.

I don't think it's timed.

Just bad writing.

The game was already listed for PS3 once in a Namco Bandai release schedule. It was removed a bit later. I think the deal is the same as the one for Eternal Sonata (lso for The Last Remnant and Star Ocean 4).

If that was true, wouldn`t Ace Combat 6 be on the PS3 by now.

You never know if something that is timed exclusive will come out for the other console.

I guess by their logic every good game that comes out on the 360 has to come out on the PS3 since their fanbase will like the game more. /sarcasm

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

One of the heads of SE also said FFXIII was without a doubt an exlclusive.  Things change.

And I think the sales are going to stay high for a little while with whatever that next big exclusive RPG coming up soon.
