Forums - Nintendo - The MotionPlus should cost no more than $4.99

I'll take that with a side of fries.

If you want 4 player on a Wii you're currently looking at £135 for 3 extra wiimotes/nunchucks. That is a joke.

So how much does 4 player cost on 360 and PS3?

i didnt read all the psots so appologies if this has been said.

The motion plus will be prepacked with Wii Sports Restort. That for sure will be a budget title. So everyone will purchase it that way.

That is hwo Nintendo will get it to the "casual" gamers.

It's also going to be sold separately of that package......and people are "debating" what the price should be of the stand alone unit.

depends how cheaply these supplier guys can do it, nintendo must have been pretty impressed with the price offered for the tech

You're not suppose to ask that. Remember, the Wii requires the extra controllers because its useless for one player games, but for those other systems its optional because they have such rocking single player games.

Well, its useless except for Twilight Princess . . . and Mario Galaxy . . . and Metroid Prime 3 . . . and Mario Kart (great party game, but still pretty awesome on your own) . . . and SSBB (ditto) . . . and Super Paper Mario . . . and WiiFit and you get the idea.

To be honest I hate all the versions of the arguement that the Wii is just as expesive as other systems because you have to buy xyz, because without exception its true of the other systems as well. The worst is the arguement that after you buy games the Wii is just as expensive as the HD consoles; this is beyond absurd because the Wii is the one console you actually might not buy extra games for (and in fact many of the same people who employ this arguement try elsewhere to argue that no one buys any games for the Wii). But even the controller arguement, which is the stronger version by far, is absurd. If you are the sort of person that enjoys gaming with friends, and you own only one console, then regardless of which console you own you will equip it for multiple players; if you like to game alone you should not waste you money on extra controllers, even if you own a wii.
