The last couple of months:

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
Pixel Junk Monsters
Siren Blood Curse
Pixel Junk Eiden

The Next few weeks:
Ratchet and Clanck Q4B
Socom Comfrontation
Burnout Paradise
Wipeout HD

All high quality titles that MS has not even tried to match with XBL. That is the point people are trying to get across. Sony is putting out high quality products on PSN, and quality is much better than quantity.

Listing GT5 and Siren I can understand. But saying that XBL is matching games like Eden and Monsters is foolish.

please show me innovative titles like Eden or top class Tower Defences like Monsters on XBL? how about flOw or the upcoming game flower? Didnt think so. Sony and Nintendo are the only companies that innovations like Eden, Fat Princess, Wii Play, WiiFit, etc comes to.

What's the difference between N+ and the flash N you can download for PC?

Extra levels, I believe, and some multiplayer modes.

Apart from multiplayer, you can play user levels on the flash version. Can you do that with N+?

There are downloadable level packs from the devs, but obviously there's no sharing of user generated content, which is why it's one of the myriad games that utterly shames Live.

Burnout Paradise, rated E10+ by the ESRB and 3+ by PEGI, is currently available worldwide on PS3 and Xbox 360, and will be available for download on PSN.

I find it ironic that while Microsoft is boasting about how downloadble content is the future of the industry and that Sony is the only one actually usng it.

Sony is the only one doing something about it? That's funny because as I recall Micrsoft had Xbox Live up and running a year before the PS3 came out. Microsoft also keeps a steadier stream of games coming on XBox Live than Sony does on PSN. It's funny how you say this in the middle of Summer of Arcade, which is Microsoft's big XBLA marketing push. Five weeks of five of the biggest XBLA releases yet. While Sony lazely puts together a pathetic package of PSOne classics, Microsoft gives gamers the Xbox Originals they actually want to buy. Then again, it's funny that Sony is getting credit for a move done by a third party developer and publisher. Maybe you hadn't heard but Burnout Paradise isn't a Sony game.

Sorry, just dropping by out of curiousity, but how many of those five games were developed by Microsoft?

Every post you make is a riot.

Braid is the most obvious example, and its better than every single PSN game you mentioned.

First: It is common knowledge that Microsoft sets strict restrictions on XBLA developers. A good example is the Braid developer who stated that their restrictions are rediculous and that he would never publish another game on the platform.

Blow said no such thing. He griped about having to do work he felt was redundant and said he wasn't sure if he'd do another XBLA game. He also posted in response to the article you're citing and said he felt the post made him out to be more negative about Microsoft than he actually is.

Second: I know my characterization was flamebait bullshit. I understand XBLA has some great games. But many of them are overpriced (Braid=$15) and they are no where near the quality of psn games except for a few exceptions. Braid is also coming to PSN after the timed exclusive contract ends.

Braid may come to PSN after Blow finishes a PC port. It is not a done deal. Of course, it would have been on PSN to begin with had Sony not turned him down in the first place. -2 for reading comprehension, btw.

Third: LBP embarasses Xbox Live through capabilities that are not possible on it due to Microsoft's restrictions. User generated conten, through which a prime example is UT3, as stated by microsoft has no place on xbox live. LBP achieves something that is not possible on Xbox Live. As shown through the limitations of N+, UT3, and others, Microsoft abhors the thought of user generated content, and that is the very area that LBP shines in.

Then I reckon N+, UT3, "and others" do infinitely more to embarrass Live than LBP. Since, you know, they're actually on the service. Amazingly, N+ has sold like hotcakes. Not bad for a gimped port of a game that is an uncreative piece of shit to begin with, like all XBLA offerings.

In red.

1. no idea on that but doesnt the XBL have a size limit for all XBLA games?

2. did Sony turn him down?

3. lol, sad part is that there are many titles on the PC that blow away XBLA titles but not PSN titles. Take Geo Wars for example. It is a direct ripoff of Neon Wars by BlitWise and there is a game called Bullet Candy on Steam that is way better and cheaper. Geo Wars is offered on Steam btw.

Sorry for a double post, but this is another ssj12 gem.

Neon Wars is a rip-off of Geometry wars that was made almost a year after GW Evolved was released, which was the second game of the series.

PS: I can't wait until you claim that SSHD is a good shooter.

LOL SSHD is NOT a good shooter? Wow, take off ur goggles fanboy! Nobody said it was better than the "holy grail" geometry wars like u 360 fanboys make it seem like it is, but saying that it's not a "good shooter" is just blind fanboyism.

@badgenome, with every post u do, u make urself look worse and worse. What the TC is talking about is that, Burnout Paradise, a full retail game (and multi plat) is available for download on the psn along with Socom, Warhawk, Siren and other full retail games SSJ12 mentioned. The post that u said "And I guess you consider Ikaruga, Rez, Castlevania, Puzzle Quest, etc. etc. to be games without creativity and value" was hilarious. Yes those games are awesome and creative and have tons of value, but last time I checked, those are ALL old games that are available in other platforms (and Castlevania [I guess u r talking about Symphony Of the Night] is ALSO available on the PSN).

Yea it's reaaal easy to have alot of creative and great games when they are already released and well known for being great games, and all u have to do is port it over. Name me any other place where u can play the Pixel Junk games that are on PSN (Eden and Monsters, I think the racer was bad)? Does XBLA have a game that is completely new and exclusive to PSN and actually looks and plays like an actual retail game (Ratchet and Clank, quest for booty)?

Please, somebody PLEASE point out where I am wrong, so I can bitch slap u with facts.

@SnakeEyez: You're such a flipping fanboy and so goddamned obnoxious and abrasive as to barely warrant a response, so this is as much as you'll get- Bobo didn't say anything about XBLA exclusives. He launched a broadside against the service as a whole.

LOL, I'm the fanboy? U r the one attacking me for stating facts because it's going against ur sweet XBLA. God, u "elitist" 360 owners that say "barely warrant a response" are so funny, cuz wat ur doing is SOOO different.

Edit: "I find it ironic that while Microsoft is boasting about how downloadble content is the future of the industry and that Sony is the only one actually usng it" - Bobo. Based on his other posts in this thread, I believe that he is talking about full retail games being downloadable. MS can't say that digital distribution is the future (going against bluray) and not release full games on their XBLA, unless MS thinks that full games are gonna die off and short games are gonna take its place.

so, sony wants to annoy retailers and do something because microsoft said they should.... i dont see how this means you should make ignorant trollish comments regarding Microsoft and XBL.

Microsoft talks alot about the future being DLC but doesn't do much to back up their talking.

Sony doesn't talk so much about that topic but actions speak louder than words ....
