MS know the 360 market is open to any of the consoles that is why they have committed so much for the future in Japan and now it's starting to pay off especially as more people in Japan get hold of the new 175w cool and quite 360s, Sony seem more interested in Europe/others and it is not paying off they are stuck at certain sales level every week, in the long run MS are looking to come out of this best from October on....

Eternal Sonata comes out on the 18th, I believe. That will help a little bit.

Eternal Sonata won't help move Playstation 3 hardware. Even if it sells well (it won't), I don't see how ES could move hardware....Disagea 3, nor Valkyrie of the Battlefield helped the PS3 hardware very much...Why would a port of a 1 year old game?

Having said that, I think ES will do well on the PS3, and sell 30k-45k first week.

 

By "helping a little bit" I was thinking more like "will keep it from dropping even further."  :P

You know, it could just be NPD adjusting on a 2 month at a time basis to make VGChartz look inaccurate and invalidate the data here. Just a theory. NPD is certainly well aware of VGchartz and despises it. It's very possible they would just, say, take 100k off PSP one month, and add that 100k back the next month, in an attempt to discredit the site. We've seen NPD adjust before, it would be easy for them to slip in. Especially if they did it in ways which would invalidate the "who won" predictions, based off VGChartz. Just give the PS3 a few thousand more units, and NPD knows that VGChartz predicting the 360 a win would discredit the site much worse than if we had been off by 100,000, but got who won right.

Just a crazy theory, lol. I believe it's true though. :P

lol, it's been barely skirting under the PSP for weeks. It's been the second highest selling console in Japan for....ever, lol, and you thought it was any degree of dead, lol? Replace dead with "slowing," or preferrably, "saturated."

It's good to see software can still move the console. With so many owning a DS, and so many used DS' available, I figured that software would be selling to a userbase at this point, not a new crowd, lol. I mean, who waited this long to get a DS anywhere? Much less DSland, aka Japan. It's like, "oh well the other 500 titles I love didn't do it for me, but Fire Emblem DS and Dragonquest remake, sign me up!"

Ah well, I guess that a lot of people are just buying their first one, so I'm just prattling on.
