The differences are minimum. And shouldn´t matter, exactly because they ar too close. The capacity to play good games and the uses you can give to the machine is what should matter. As they are too close in capacity, is a choice base in personal opinion, not a technichal one. You may like the ps3 exclusives, or the x360 exclusives, for no good reason at all, but that´s your reason. What made me choose the ps3 is it´s proposition as a multimedia center, that may not matter to a lot of gamers, that prefer the x360 games and gameplay. So sorry to say, but this dispute between x360 and ps3 will be solved in the market by personal choices, not thechnichal ones.

Nice trick by posting this screen in here

This screenshot is taken from a pre-rendered CGI scene (It's an adventure game after all...)

Sorry to burst your bubble but during gameplay the graphics will not be so nice...

both look the same to me

Well there are a couple things to take into consideration.

Theres an acute differance between what software developers do with their software and what the hardware is capable of running. Look at NFL QUarteback Club for Dreamcast and it's obvious how bad a game can look on any system. Look at Resident Evil for Gamecube and bask in the glory that WAS NEVER REPLICATED on xbox or PS2 (side note: Mikami himself said the other systems COULD NOT do it). So that's that.
Game by game analysis is thustly hard because it depends on how the developer handled the game.

As far as just straight up facts go on the hardware. XBOX360 wins. Anyone who says elsewise is lying. pure and simple. More RAM and performs at a faster framerate.

Lastly does this matter to the audience at hand. He^ says it doesn't. I'm more inclined to say it does.

I can do another comparison later and will probably post again when I do. At some point I plan on having my nephew bring over his PS3 and me hooking up my XBOX360 (when it finally frickin comes!!) renting games that are on both and doing a comparrison. Then I will tell you all what I see with my own eyes.

This thread has as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike. It's kind of pointless because fanboism will kill it which I guess was the point in the first place :)

An excelent idea, but i see a problem that your nephew will be automatically pro-PS3, and you will be automatically pro-X360 just based on your individual consoles.

What you'd need is at least one independant eye, someone who has neither console otherwise you'd just end up with endless debate and nitpicking.
