Damm Mass Effect, just tell him to save nearly constantly, and I just played and died, and went back to before when I saved!!!!!!!!!! and I had so nearly cleared that area (well I had, but I died from the rocket they fired before they died)

lol that was VERY frustrating. Especially when you're going through areas where the enemies flat out rush you.

........... Damn Krogan

Well I am on the very final level so I am in the citadel fighting the damm turrets. I can deal with the Krogans, but trying to take out the turrets with my pistol (achievement....) is not going very well, and my allies keep on dieing!!!!!

You can buy a decent PC that can run Mass Effect andd Call of Duty 4 at the same price as a 360 now days. Plus he'd save $20 on the games themselves buying both CoD4 and ME for $50 (or less) rather than $60.

I know he won't but I thought I'd mention it.

 No you can't.

A PC up to running those games at medium settings is going to cost you 2.5-3x as much as a 360.

I challenge you to spec me a PC that will do what you say, or even near what you say.

You mean without as monitor, right? Well, here I go:

RAIDMAX ATX Mid-Size Case               $21.99

EXCELSTOR 80GB HDD (Oh well, it's more than most 360 SKUs)     $34.99

ASUS Micro-ATX AMD Mobo                 $48.99

EVGA 8600GT                                (with $20 mail-in-rebate) $49.99

ROSEWILL 550wt PSU                       $49.99

CORSAIR 2GB RAM                             $34.99

AMD Athlon 64X2 5000+ 2.6Ghz        $66.00

______________________________________________

TOTAL: $306.94

DOES NOT INCLUDE KEYBOARD/MOUSE (I assume you already have those...)

ALSO: You can put a couple more fans in the case for $10-$20 more, if you want...

Mass Effect is awesome. Tell your friend to keep Tali in his landing party.

1. Excludes sales tax

2. 8600GT won't run Mass Effect on medium settings or COD4 at a reasonable resolution.

3. No Optical drive included in listing to install the games ;)

4. No keyboard\mouse\monitor, bloke up top said a full PC.

5. Onboard sound, not really ideal these days for gaming.

6. Game controller (For Mass Effect?)

7. Speakers!!!?

8. Operating System?

I appreciate you taking the time to search that out though and it is pretty darn cheap much cheaper than I expected, and my points aren't a critisim of you, just saying that an Xbox 360 isn't the same price as a full PC as was posted by an unhelpful troll...

Ah, I know what you're talking about. I used my sniper rifle and it would take like 15-20 shots just to take one of those damn things out. I didn't know that it was an achievement to use your pistol to take them out. Anyway, I agree about the team mates, I like when they use biotics to disable and stun enemies, but they're practicially useless otherwise.

Well I just needed the pistol kils generally, but when I tried again I gave up and just used my awesome assualt rifle. The last boss was incredibly annoying, I just could not seem to do any damage to him... but he's dead, and that was truly an awesome game. I will start playing it again soon!!! I though i could get the completionist achievement, but I didn't, so I will go back to my save before Illos

Currently running Bioshock (1220x720), Mass Effect (1440x990) and CoD4 (1220x720) using not only an 8600 GT but an 8600M GT and you should use a keyboard and mouse for the PC version should you not?

Also heres a Dell with twice the HD space of an Elite for just $20 more that will run both games. It also has 7.1 audio. I plugged my Computer directly into my TV and Surround Sound system just like I would a 360. This is a much better deal.

If he's actually getting a 360 for Mass Effect he is making a big mistake. The rest of the trilogy will go to PC and will look much better just like the original.
