You don't play movies. Movies are meant to be watched, and you don't wanna watch crap. The movie was... interesting. I've never been a fan of Transformers...

There's no "gameplay" to back up graphics in a movie...but the important stuff, the "gameplay" of movies is the story, the character development, the important themes, etc. This movie was light on it, but it wasn't meant to be much more than a popcorn flick, at least in my eyes. And cmon, we're talking about a night of enjoyment for $7.50, not a full-fledged game that costs $60.

The movie got lukewarm reviews. I might rent it. Obviously you're all welcome to your own opinions, but I'm really tired of "pretty good" action movies :/

 I did just see "The Lives of Others," however, which I enjoyed thorougly. 

The movie was actually released on the 2nd, not the fourth. The only reason I can think of that they did this is because its the same thing that ID4 did (all the promos said it was released on the 4th, but then released on the 2nd to match the start date in the movie). I think the reason to do this is to stagger demand for the movie more than it already is, that is, you can have all the people following it monday-tuesday, all the people that are bought up in the hype but not following it from wednesday on, and then weekend on are everyone else. Makes it easier to get everyone in the theatre and able to see it.

Just so you know, critics HATE Michael Bay, the director. It's basically a given that any movie he makes will get bad reviews. That said, this movie was a refreshing experience and a definite plus on his record...it's worth seeing if not just as a popcorn flick.
A motto perhaps: It's better than Spiderman 3 or Pirates 3.  And especially Fantastic Four 2.

Optimus and Bumblebee rocked, getting Peter to redo the voice for Optimus was excellent, a total geek moment when you first hear him speak, and then when he shows up to duel Megatron in the final battle is just an awesome moment (I also cheered when he took down Bonecrusher).

A pity about Jazz

I just thought it was ok... I thought the CGI was pretty amazing but the idiotic storyline and some of the humor that backfired took away from it. By the end of the movie there were too many characters added and some were simply left looking for things to do. I give it a "B" but I know it's going to be huge.

ps. Megan Fox was incredibly hot in it :)

 Be warned... it's definitely a Michael Bay movie... but I reckon he did a pretty good job.

Yeah, Pity about Jazz, he's one of my favs from the originals... Here's hoping that Hot Rod makes the sequel :D

Did anyone else find it REALLY creepy at the end when all the autobots were just watching the two humans make out? Cause I did.

Also, most of the jokes totally ruined the scene for me, but one I really liked, when there was a power outage and the father says "Look, the transformer is down over there. We should call someone". That line made me laugh at its cheesiness for the rest of the movie.
