Probably not - I'd have to rework the whole thing from the ground up. If I did, it would be local multiplayer. If you want online 1-on-1, use Shoddy Battle, a Java Pokémon battle simulator.

how many battle animation frames are you giving the pokemon???

I hope it's more than what nintendo do, which is about 2 :(

Ok, local seems good since I can just copy save files over to my friend's PC and battle or trade with him. What did you rework on? The plot?

Yes indeed. That annoyed me too.

Optional HM's or external use from HM's... those things should not use up attackslots.

Great idea. I'll make it so Pokémon can learn an unlimited amount of additional HMs that don't use moveslots.

There are Hold Items in games after R/B/Y (e.g. attach the Soft Sand to power up Ground moves). Is that what you mean?

On the last item: yes that is exactly what I meant. But as you read, I didn't play past yellow.
