SSBB and other fighters worked fine on the Wii. Why not SF IV? |
As long as Capcom doesn't make it a wagglefest.
I still can't believe that the Castlevania 'fighter' has attacks mapped to waggle..

Given how great RE4:WE was (GC one was great, Wii one was even greater) I would love to see RE5 on Wii, or at least a side story with the same kind of gameplay as RE4.
The others haven't really proved themselves to be superior with the Wii Remote so I would have to wait until similar games came out to see if I would be as interested as RE5.

What other fighters?
And SSBB uses less buttons than SFIV.
| Soriku said: @DMJ Different control schemes FTW! They can use the control schemes that SSBB used for SF IV. |
Holding the Wii-mote sideways? And trying to use the B button with your forefingers? Yeah, that'd be fun. And even if they used just the Wii-mote, there still wouldn't be enough buttons.
Capcom always thought of Wii owners as second rate consumers. We are always getting the scraps or spin-offs.
Read the OP this titles don't even exist, a Wii version will only be available if the HD ones flop, Wii is here to save the day! But of course, 2 or 3 years after the original release and dumbed down like Okami or Dead Rising. It's more than likely that people won't be hyping this dumbed down versions and that will be another excuse: third party dumbed down ports that are released 2 years after the original game don't sell on Wii! =)
And as Onimusha said, they may gimp the games to have an excuse for them to stop working on the Wii if they sell badly.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.
| Soriku said: Capcom said the games they were considering haven't been out yet (they're waiting to see how they do on the initial systems)...so Lost Planet and DMC are out. Age of Booty and Flock I'd say are out as well because they're just XBL/PSN games so they aren't costing that much. Not sure if Capcom would care about waiting how they do on the PS3/360. Also, Dark Void doesn't seem like a game they'd be considering on the Wii. That leaves SF IV, RE5, and DR2 (which isn't even announced). SF IV I see on the Wii for obvious reasons. Same with RE5. |
Why not?
@OT
I guess the next lost planet since capcom wants to promote the movie.

Well not really most of the people that play brawl that I know use the gamecube controller..........
On Wii you can use GC's controllers, not to mention that SNES had SF2 using 6 buttons and the D-PAD.
Let me see the possibiliti on Wiimote: A, B, C and Z close to your fingers and in a confortable position. You also have sensors in nunchuk and Wiimote ............. hummmm ........... it seems more than doable.

Uh...in SSBB it only used the 4 directional arrows and 1 and 2 and it was fine. Why does B have to be used? |
B was guard, was it not? or was it a? Anyway, that's not relevant. The relevant point is that SF uses six buttons and a directional pad, and there's only six buttons on the Wii + nunchuk (Not using +, -, and Home) which are not even feasable.
