On Wii you can use GC's controllers, not to mention that SNES had SF2 using 6 buttons and the D-PAD.
Let me see the possibiliti on Wiimote: A, B, C and Z close to your fingers and in a confortable position. You also have sensors in nunchuk and Wiimote ............. hummmm ........... it seems more than doable.
