In other words, give it to the Wii after the PS3/360 versions have taken majority of the sales? Great thinking Capcom. I didn't see this happen to the PS2 last gen.

Actually, it kind of did, and Capcom were the ones to do it. See: Viewtiful Joe, Killer7, RE4.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Hey Capcom, are you listening? Here's what you need to do: you know how you've got Street Fighter 4 coming out soon? And it's not coming to the Wii? All right, here's the plan, take some artists, have them make 2-d sprite art of all the fighters and give the Wii owners a classic Street Fighter 4. That way the HD owners are happy, and the Wii owners are happy.

But don't try to half-ass the sprites Capcom, if the quality is in anyway lower than Guilty Gear, it won't do at all.

I can honestly say that I have a love-hate relationship with Capcom's support for the Wii ... I love the fact that they have provided several of the highest quality third party games for the Wii, but I hate that so many of these games are ports of games that have been out for years. Part of me really wants to freak out that they're only 'considering' the release of some of these titles because it means that the game will probably be on the market for months before they 'consider' porting it, and then we will be waiting months for its release, and it will end up being another several year old port of a game.

I'm pleased that Capcom is producing several new interesting IPs for the Wii, but come on ... Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles destroyed expectation so I think the Wii userbase has demonstrated that they enjoy shooting zombies in Racoon City; maybe its about time they stopped considering more Resident Evil games for the Wii and started working on a Wii specific title or a port of RE5 that will be done soon after the release of the HD versions.

Sorry but some game styles just will not work on the Wii AT ALL.

Street Fighter IV is one of them, the Wii just doesn't have enough buttons for one thing, and any attempt to stick motion controls on Street Fighter is going to end up horribly wrong. That isn't to say all beat-em-ups will suck on Wii, ones designed specifically for it I'm sure can be good, but NOT SFIV.

I don't know why so many people want it, but I read a few days ago some comment about them thinking of SFIV on Wii as a unlikely 'want' only that they might look into at some point, so maybe it'll happen.

RE5 on Wii? I don't see how this won't happen at some point, the Wii has been pretty good to the RE series, and with a userbase outgrowing its competitors with every new day, it's just good business sense. I'll be getting it on PS3 when it's released, depending if RE5 finishes the job of killing the series that RE4 started I may or may not buy a Wii version down the line.

Dead Rising 2, I didn't even realise a sequal had been announced, I guess this would depend on DR:CTYD sales, but providing they are good, this is likely.

It hasn't. But c'mon, this is the videogame industry. More specifically, this is Capcom. It's coming.

88 MB main memory (24 MB "internal" 1T-SRAM integrated into graphics package, 64 MB "external" GDDR3 SDRAM).

If you know anything about 1T-SRAM you'll realize Wii is more capable than you think. Especially when you consider that it is not trying to ouput HD visuals. For its output range RE5 and SF4 are definitely doable. Just watch this video for a good comparison of what the GC (a system probably 3x less powerful than the Wii) did as compared to what Capcom is putting on the PS360.

RE5 and SF4

Because...
RE games are doing great on Wii.
SF4 is probably easy to port.

Currently Playing:

Wii: Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports Resort

Xbox360: Fifa 2009, Halflife 2 Episode 2

Want to play:
Wii: Lego Indiana Jones, SMG2
Xbox360: MW2

I hope it is not a shitty game like Lost Planet. DMC 4 was a little meh IMO. Everything else is ok for me.

The buttons are not very practically placed.  A and B are fine.  But 1, 2 are placed out of whack, and Plus and minus are for start and select.  and home is useless.  So we're stuck with A, B, C, and Z, that are viable and in quick use.  It is theoretically impossible to have your hand comfortably over the a, and forefinger on the b but be able to reach your thumb down to 1, and especially two without it not hurting.  I have huge hands and can barely touch one.
OT:
RE5 could come to Wii, but I hope that they'd tweak the RE engine after RE4 and Dead Rising.  It will definitely be showing it's age in a year or so.
