agreed. Who would buy a PS3 when the next gen Wii and Xbox are out? not many people...who will buy a PS4? tons of people (barring it isn't another $700 console) |

Two possibilities:
1- You know what's wrong with that comparison and you're just being annoying for the hell of it.
2- You honestly don't understand why the PS3 appeal won't last as long or stretch as broad as the PS2.
Here's hoping it's #1.....
The mere fact that people are even THINKING that this could be considered slightly possible is so mentally insane that I am scared for your well-being.

Um... ps2 is here right now with 32MB ram, 233Mhz proccessor, and a.... what..... nVidia 3 or 4 family like gpu???
4 ≈ One

Not necessary. Keep the political crap out of gaming discussions please. |
Political?
Also, jeez Naz the guy was just making a joke. I don't see what was so harmful about it. Did an Obama supporter report his post or something?
If anyone, EVEN Sony fanboys believes this, then it's not stupidity, or dumb. Dumb is not even descriptive enough.
They are just....Lvl. 5. That's all there is to it.

1)Why do you have any support that I'm wrong? Can you prove that my hypothesis is incorrect?
2)Why do you talk trash about a system you dont own?
No chance it'll last 15 years. The industry wouldn't be able to cope...
10 years is much more likely for PS3. With PS4 coming out in the 7th or 8th year ...
Though i believe that the next-gen consoles will not offer us huge graphical improvements. Instead the additional power will provide us with other features such as larger zones / less loading, more enemies on the screen and possibly dual-control systems -> eg. Wii-Mote + Sixaxis
If Sony stays the course for profitability like they said they will, then I do not see why this can't happen, especially with support after a new sys. launch. Look at the Atari 2600 (VCS)-- it was supported from July 1977 to 1991, a span of 14 years.
