Forums - Gaming - Olympic Gold medalist would like to thank the Wii

They probably couldn't stray very far from their training facilities, so I'm *guessing* they had a Wii there to keep them entertained and not bored I guess.

And what could be better to get into the Olympic atmosphere than playing a game about the upcoming Olympics?!

Wii Promotion: +1

Now this kind of publicity, you just can't buy. Nintendo really hit it out of the park with their image this time, which is a complete reversal of the stigma of the "purple lunchbox" GameCube.

Super World Cup Fighter II: Championship 2010 Edition

That's really cool.

Kitajima and Phelps ,who is the better one ?

Yeah, the wii helped her go from what would've been silver to gold. :/

Ok, Wii Fit will get someone a gold medal on gymnastics.

=O

i'm sure nintendo will thank him in return with a wad of cash.

I'm getting a fucking Wii now.

The word of mouth from a Celebrity proves just how weak minded the majority of people are.

Kitajima is a world class athlete. He actually said that playing Mario & Sonic helped him visualize swimming the race; that would be the race that he won a gold medal in. Oh, and another race, which he won a gold medal in. It's very hard to win a gold medal in the Olympics.

If you've won a gold medal in the Olympics or have a friend that's won a gold medal in the Olympics please feel free to share your insightful anecdotes with us.
