More games need Bots!

Off-topic: On a side note, I used to play The World Is Not Enough multiplayer and I used to turn AI Bots on....except at the time I didn't know that AI meant Artificial Intelligent....so I thought the AI was like the nickname for Allen...so basically to this day I still call Computer Players Al's :P

I remember Bungie saying pre-release that they wanted to add bots, but would rather spend their precious remaining time tightening up the gameplay.

LOL.  Bots are cool, but they do not compare to human opponents, and yes even UT bots do not.  There are options to turn off voice chatting in games.  And online ranks are to place you in a game with people with similar skill.

Then I guess you never played Perfect Dark. Shame on you! D:

 

 

I have played it.  But if you are going to use a game as a benchmark, it should not be PD.  It should be one of the UT games.

I've never played Unreal Tournament with bots though. I mean... Isn't PC gaming free anyway?

Oh god NO! Nintendo tried to implement that stupid idea in Brawl, and when everything around you lags, but not the stupid AI character, you're pretty much doomed. It's fricking unfair for everyone.

It could work, if done right though... But I still don't like the idea. They could at least make the AI level match the skill rank of other players.

Making levels from scratch.... what I've always wanted. You could basically remake the Halo campaign...... or make movies with a unique setting. Forge on foundry was a nice distraction.... but this... oh my.

Mr. king I highly doubt the editor will be that extensive. It would be great though.

@SHMUP Yes, online bots could be a bit unfair sometimes, but sometimes they can be worthwhile. Say you have 8 guys who want to try and tackle some extremely difficult bots. It is quite entertaining.

I know, but making a fake campaign using a level maker and bots would be cool. Oh course, each new campaign mission, blahblahblah would be on a different map.


Really though, I want people to make swarm maps.
You know, 4 people in a bunker area with tons and tons of flood coming at you and all you and your buddies have are unlimited grenades, unlimited rocket launchers, and many, many turrets. Bring it.

That is what I am hoping for.  That would be so incredible awesome.  Seems like they would be able to do it.  Players could try to defend the base on High Ground and enemies keep getting flown in.  Doesn't seem too infeasible.  This is one of the main reasons I am so excited for Gears 2.  Horde mode.
