After doing some soul searching and medatiting I have come up with the most accurate prediction on Vgchartz, this prediction has been cleverly and thoroughly analysed.
Having analysed the hardware sales on a weekly basis and factoring games released for all three systems, I predict the ps3 will overtake the 360 come December 19th 2009, come may 2010 it will overtake the american instal base but both systems will be close. althought both systems will be behind the wii by 12m!
Come 2010 ps3 software will overtake Wii software, having analysed future games. The Nintendo Wii does not have as many big games on the horizon as the ps3/360. Most of the big games for the Wii are already out e.g SMG, SSBB and Mario kart. Come 2010 sales for the Nintendo Wii begin to drop. With little 3rd party support for the Nintendo Wii this prediction is very feasible.
My Final prediction come mid 2010 the Ps3 will overtake the Nintendo Wii world wide install base by 2m, why you ask? simply because of games such as GOW3, RE5, FF13, FFversus, GT5 and host of 3rd party support also factoring the growing demand for HD, will make the ps3 the ultimate package.
To sum up, the Ps3 will overtake the Wii by 2m at of this Gen, followed closely by the 360.
Software sales come 2010, will see the ps3 and 360 overtake the nintendo wii software!
