I saw a lot of you are predicting less than 711,258 for madden 09 on the 360. How could it sell less the madden 08s first week sales? if i were you i would be predicting about 825,000.

'08 was the first football game on a 7th gen console? No competition means great sales

The Wii version is also very likely to detract sales from the 360 version

 What about madden 07 and madden 06? And i dont think the wii version would take sales away from the 360 version because they are two different games (versions).

They may be different games, but how many people buy two versions of a sports game in a single year? 99% of purchasers will buy the game for only 1 system.

I don't think the Wii version will hurt the X360 sales though, as I think it will hurt the PS2 sales more. A lot of Wii owners may have bought the PS2 version last year because Madden 08 Wii sucked so much.

I think your end of generation predictions for Wii and PS3 are too low, how could the combined 3 consoles barely sell more than 6th gen consoles?

If I were you I would be predicting higher for Wii and PS3 in the West.

I think the simple answer is that NCAA Football sold less opening week this year than last on 360, so the same is easily possible for Madden.
