Give Lost oddysey a try... Or do you have a older console like a PS2?

you will like star ocean and tales of Vesperia when they come out, no turn based battles on either. that is assuming you have a 360..

Infinite Undiscovery is real time, so maybe this will be more to your liking. Actually, there are quite a few real time JRPGs coming out. Tales of Vesperia and Star Ocean are both real time, and Last Remnant looks like it has a weird, not quite turn based battle system as well.

Get a DS and all your problems will be solved.

Pacman taught people to run around in dark rooms munching on pills while listening to repettive techno music and for that I somewhat idolise him.

well, you can get bludragon and lost oddessey 1st anyways.

jrpg or rpg in general are more aquired taste, many people just trade them back in, but if you stick to them they are enjoyable.

i feel rpg`s are that line of game that even if they get 7/10 you will still enjoy it.

bludragon is cheap now and i feel its a better game that lost odeseey, il be finished with lost oddeseey next week hopefully. so you can just have mine lol

but i enjoyed enchanted arms better than both bludragon and lost odeseey, its my best rpg thus far this gen, simply because the battle system is a grid like tactical affair.

Final Fantasy IV/V/VI advanced are a good place to start in my opinion.

Edit: For non turn based try TWEWY for the DS.

There are tons of real time rpgs now a days, so don't worry. Get tales of Symphonia for the Wii/GC, Tales of Vesperia for the 360, and Infinite Undiscovery if it turns out well. If you want to try some turn based Jrpgs get Lost Odyssey, and Eternal SOnata(mix between turnbased and real time, you take turns, but you have a certain amount of time to pull off as many attacks as you want and you could move freely during that time). Those are pretty much newer ones this generation. I could reccommend tons on the PS2, PS, and Snes also. ALso do you have a DS? I could recommend tons there too.

Buy Final Fantasy, they are really great.
