Forums - Gaming - The *REAL* cost of owning an HD console that's not a PS3

"Xbox 360 Arcade has everything you need to start your Next Gen gaming and entertainment adventure including the Xbox 360 console with HDMI port, 256MB Memory Unit, Wireless Controller, Composite AV Cable and 5 bonus Arcade games: Feeding Frenzy, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rocket, Pac-Man Championship Edition & Uno!"

Missing something...

something really important to be considered HD...

Hmmm...

Add 12 bucks friends.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I thought you already had one?

Yeah, but I am gonna snag another for the HDMI port. Plus, if my 360 goes RROD, I can have a backup (my 360 was made in feb. 2006 and was repaired before).

You are going to buy a duplicate console for an output port and as a back-up?...

Absolutely. I have one in my bedroom, and it would be cool to have the arcade downstairs in the 4th bedroom.

I have a 20gb Premium that's been packed up for a month in a vault. After unpacking it, it gave me 2 RRODs. It has only done it twice to me, hence why I'd just get an Arcade for $199. I think it's on it's last leg and I have far too much invested in it to just let it go (60+ games).

For 200 bucks, WHY NOT?!?!

Because for 200 bucks i can buy 360 games if i already have one, and if i don't have it, i prefer saving more an buy a 20 GB... Or get a Wii (if i'm casual... just kidding)...

Right. An HD console that's NOT A PS3. Make sure you put some extra emphasis on this by putting it in the title too. I wouldn't really care otherwise...

Locked. Feel free to remake the thread with a different title.

Does anyone know if LAN works with these consoles? I really wanna get some Local 4 player GOW matches going, along with some team Halo and maybe Left 4 dead?

If I can get these games working on a lan its a definate buy because I need another controller anyway.

Tease.

Can you daisy chain PS3s? I know you can do it with crossover cables on the 360. If anyone knows about daisy chaining PS3s, please start a thread.

Mad Skillz out.
