Forums - Gaming - Braid may come to the PSN, but not the Wii

braid surprised me, i took a plunge and brought it and the more people that get to play this the better.

Around the Network

Is the PC version out yet?  I finally got around to getting my DS3/sixaxis to work with my PC, so I may just buy it for that.

EDIT: Guess not, I'll just buy whichever comes first.

Jonathan Blow, developer of the incredible Xbox Live Arcade title Braid recently sat down with Game Focus and answered some questions. ... Jonathan also mentioned that a Wii Ware version just will not happen because of the download size of the actual game is just too large for the Wii’s internal storage, a complaint we have heard many times from many developers.

A couple of thoughts.

1. How can SE put a SimRPG with DLC on WiiWare but others have not figured out how to get the game size down.

2. I wonder how this will change if/when Nintendo opens up SD cards for play or makes some other storage solution.

3. If you parse this, you wonder if they are thinking -- Wii retail version. After all, they said no Wii Ware (not no Wii) and there is history of expanded versions making it to retail (see Geometry Wars).

Because SE are experts at compression.

This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*

braid comes to ps3 eventually, but the psn titles wont come to 360

By magical playstation laws though, should it come out on the PSN, it won't be a 90%+ game XD

hehe, I don't think its a magical playstation law..

Let a fruit ripe too long and it will go bad or just lose some of its taste. Most multiplatform reviewers would have already played and reviewed the game, so the second time around just a little bit stale.

Very true, I just find it amusing that the game could release in it's exact current form, just maybe a year down the road, and it'll be a less than 90% game, and probably still used as ammo agains't the PS3's claim of having very few games 90+ :P

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.
