Forums - Nintendo - What will Nintendo do without Miamoto?

Remember it was corporate Nintendo that gave the go ahead to Myamoto when DS and Wii were spawned. Although his talent will be missed the company, maybe like Disney, will keep its model i think

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

So did I miss something, or is this just conjecture talk?

Good question--what WILL happen to Star Wars when George Lucas dies?

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

It will be a sad day when Miyamoto dies..

^ or will that day come before we ALL do? 2012 is my bet for us all. =)

Change an adapt like any good company would ? if nintendo is entirley or largley dependant on one individual for it's brilliance then I think that's a bad thing for Nintendo's integrity.

Funny story--I was watching I Am Legend the other day, and I just happened to think "Hey, that means Miyamoto's dead, too!" It made me sad.

Then I thought about what would happen if I was attacked by Zombiyamoto--that would be just about the most traumatizing thing in the world for me XD

Yes he will stab you with a Wii-mote with a knife add-on. He will be on of those smart zombies from that movie (name?)

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

They will be fine, Miyamoto while a game developping god, can easily teach others and then their influence and his influence will be part of Nintendo's games.

milk mario.
and zelda (i hope)
