Ever thought what the Software Developers would say about the most difficult and worst selling plattform?
In less than a year its time as a good BluRay plattform will be gone.If they didn't raise to a real competitor for the Xbox 360 even Sony Game Developers will switch to multi (sounds a bit crazy, but a totally normal behaviour. Why should two departments make losses, due to the fault of one department).

well if it fails it fails....its to early to throw the PS3 out the window....and im tired of hearing about the failures of the system....im not even a fanboy and i love all three platforms..its true gamers had high expectations for a system and as soon as they found out the price...it was like "oh the PS3 sucks they need to lower the price, they need to bring out games...whatever its all crap...if they fail they fail...its sony first system that failed to meet the standards of gamers....
last I heard, the blue ray diode costs had dropped from 200$ to 15$
Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

its a little to late for April fools that was like a couple of months ago....
| DarkNight_DS said: The biggest complaint I've heard about the PS3 from Japanese news etc is that the console is big and fugly. They are very space limited and expect their gadgets to fit their lives. The 360 and original Xbox also have the same problem and it's been stated many times that you can't sell a giant box in Japan. So Japan may be lost until Sony redesigns the system to be smaller and more easily integrated into the japan lifestyle. I don't think price is much of a concern in Japan. An Ipod sells for more $ then a PS3 and those things fly off the shelf in Japan. Also, the Media in Japan is currently mocking the system like crazy, it's the uncool thing to have. If you think that it's got bad press here... your kidding yourself. |
I'm a little curious as to why everyone in this thread is getting wrapped up again in the same old arguments while ignoring the above post from DarkNight that's both interesting and packed with information and analysis I hadn't heard before. Maybe in Japan its size that matters.
I stopped reading at "Sega said the PS3 needs"
Yeah, no.....This is Sega, seriously. No. Do not comment on other hardware makers, EVER. They have been stripped of that privilege. I hope they retract it tomorrow like they did with the Wii comment lol

$200 was the price of the whole Blu-Ray player, which is more than the diode.

Lol do people really argue AGAINST the PS3 needing a price drop? Listen to Sega, if anyone knows about systems dying it's them.
