Forums - Sales - Microsoft announces 60GB Xbox 360 for 15th August in UK

as soon as I read this i agreed with a work colleague to sell my 20gb to him for £100 so I can buy this 60GB purely due to the installing games coming.

I've also got a new 80gb ps3 ordered so gonna be an expensive month - to make up for it i've bought the wife a gift (a packet of brand new hoover bags).

Edit: considering the official price point in america is $349 in the US compared to £199 in UK, it's also nice to see Microsoft aren't screwing the UK with the exchange rate (it's practically the norm over here to expect $1 = £1 from most companies)

If you consider that Europe recently had a £50/50Euro price reduction and the US hasn't, I dunno. Unless MS worked out that can afford it due to the weak dollar at the moment and the price reduction was just more along the lines of a price equaling.

PS, who does $1 = £1? Yes we get screwed byt never that bad. Most are still like it was 5 or 6 years ago when it was £1=$1.5

 

Having just returned from a shopping trip in the US I'm inclined to say it is as bad as $1 = £1 for many items.  For clothing I'd say the exchange rate is probably even worse than that.

my xbox broke again (3rd time) and m$ want me to pay £60 to repair it when its only 3 days out of warrenty, might just get the new 60 gb 1 and hopefully they rrod problems are fixed on the new 1s because me xbox is cursed and i no it will brake again
