And to those of you claiming "PS3 undertracked!!1!" don't you remember a few weeks ago Sony's fiscals proved PS3 was OVERTRACKED (no idea how much, but probably somewhere between 200k and 800k LTD)

Of course that refers to worldwide figures, so perhaps you are right PS3 is undertracked in Americas, but that means it is overtracked in Europe.

Good to see the 360 building some momentum, and with the release of ToV in Japan, price cuts, and some AAA releases later this year, it should be sustained until the holiday bonanza.

x box 360 was due for a win seeing that ps3 had the lead over x360 the last 5 or six months in console sales

Just to update you they are now saying the 360 outsold the ps3 by 50'000.

Beginning of 360 domination?

^ dont get ur hopes up. I expect the 360 to outsell the ps3 this month by about 40 to 60 thousand units but thats obviously just because of a temporary price drop the ps3 has been destroying the xbox this whole year and its been priced at 400 and 500 dollars compared to 280 350 and 450 dollars this year and for you to get an excellent online/graphical/game library/harddrive for under 300 bucks and you only outsell the more expensive competition by about 50,000 units on your home turf?

I wouldn't call that domination at all. I call that hanging on.

Well of course the 360 outsold the PS3. Price cut!

To be honest, if a console has just had a price cut and can only outsell it's nearest competitor by 50k for a whole month, then that to me is extremly poor.

That would work out as a 12.5k lead a week, if we count this as a 4 week month and 10k if we count this as a 5 week month.

Very poor.

Not trolling but that is poor. I would have at least expected it to be 20k a week if not more.

that's a really low advantage over PS3

You may be comparing apples to oranges, so to speak.  NPD tracks US sales, VGC tracks North American shipments (more than just US).
