This will only take a moment of your time. *steals your watch*

Been like that since the N64 generation. Nothing better than play Smash, Mario Kart, or Mario Party with a bunch of friends. Beats any online game haha. When your with friends playing a good game your having fun.

This is ridicious! I used to be considered a elitist to my friends! I caused fear and panic amongst them as none of them ever wanted to play Halo 2 with me, for fear of a energy sword to the back of the head! Friends and Family were in awe of my skill with video games and respected my mastery of the controller.

But its all changed! The very fabric of video-gaming changed right before me, I've now found myself fumbling nervously with a Wii-wheel as I stumble accross a maze of red shells, bananas, and fake item boxes! Getting knocked off arena's built for mario, samus, yoshi, and plenty more! I've been tripping over mario's own two feet as I navigate planet and planet, galaxy and galaxy, and that annoying pillshaped world.

Nintendo, you've changed the way I view gaming. It used to be that I was "pro" and "hardcore" and none of my casual friends wanted to play because they always knew the outcome before the match begun. But its not that way any more, its definately changed.

I now have fun.

I've rediscovered something I somehow lost when I was a kid, back in the 6th generation. It never was about fun, with my PS2 and xbox it was all about defeating the other players, conquering that challange, and claiming that achievement to brag to my friends who didn't care. But I somehow forgot that these games were about fun.

Nintendo, I suppose I have to once again thank you for bringing back something I lost in games. I now play games with my friends, and most importantly. With my family, I often lose but we laugh about all the silly things that happen during the game-play. It isn't about winning, losing, its about having fun.

so.... strip people of their skills, forcing skilled player to be on the same level of those who are just randomly pressing button.... that is your idea of fun?

Not that I'm saying winning is everything, but it's always fun to win and have that bragging rights (even if it's just playful trash talk between friends). If I want to play a game with outcome completely depended on chance, as oppose to the player's skill level. I'd go roll a dice.

It's like saying the Olympics isn't about winning and losing, it's about the spirit..  yeah, somehow it works a lot better on paper as in the real world.

NightstrikerX, mate, you sound exactly like me. Wii is my first console (not including the terminator I've owned at 5 yo lol) and I'm a happy and proud owner of it.

For the fanboys wondering, I'm not a casual dude brought into gaming by Wii, I'm actually an ex PC pro gamer who will become a pro gamer again once Starcraft II is out.

Am I the only one who just does not want to play a videogame with his mom?

For multiplayer games:

I want to compete with other good players all over the world

For singleplayer games:

I want a good atmosphere and story, no matter if it is for RPGs or FPS. Something that catches me 100%.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

the Wii's blue light is a mind control beam

If you beat your friends in every game, every time, it's not so fun anymore. Trust me.
