The term "fapping" derives from people posting "fap fap fap!" whenever good news pops up that they are REALLY excited for. It's really common on neogaf, as are terms like "All over my face!" and other stupid (yet often hilarious) euphemisms used to express intense excitement over big news (new LBP info? fap fap fap!). Gotta love nerds. :P

You can figure out what "fap" is meant to sound like for yourselves. :P
