In my opinion, Resident Evil 4's controls are way more complex than Gears'. In Gears, you don't have to open a menu to change weapon, it's all right on the D-Pad (which sucks by the way). In Gears, you pick up items with the X button (or E on PC), in Resident Evil 4, it's the A button (on the Wii at least). In Gears, you activate the melee attack with the B button (or F on PC), in Resident Evil 4, you have to aim and swing the remote to swing your knife (on the Wii at least), etc.

Overall, it's not much different, it's only just a matter of getting used to the controller you're holding.

Also, I know it's your opinion, but I have to disagree with what you said about the music. I really think orchestrated and sequential music in video games is probably the best innovation ever.

Well I was refering to the Gamecube version. I haven't played wii's one.

I meant that with the RE4 you can walk and turn with one stick. But niow that you mention it, maybe it would be difficult when you run and shoot.

I do like orchestral music in games a lot. But I do like that music should immerse you in the game while playing instead of just been in the BG. I still liked it though

Agreed, if you have a quality composer and they match the tempo of the music with the tempo of the game it makes an enormous difference.  The soundtrack for the original Halo is still one of my favorites.

Yeah mostly videogame composers that grown up with the medium, like Koji  Kondo, Nobuo uematsu and Koichi sugiyama can make full orchestral music that matches perfectly with the game.

MIDI scores are kind of outdated to an extent.  Many complained that Twilight Princess used MIDI scores instead of ochestral scores

Yes they did.  TP's music was obviously MIDI if you listen closely.

Well hats off to Nintendo! They did a terrific job!

In real life, you can't run and shoot (accurately). I thought the whole point of HD is realism.

None the less, I don't own a 360, and Gears of War is one of my "Most Fun" games of this generation.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Wouldn't 100% realism be boring? Video games are suppose to be escapist, not a replica of real life

Pssh, whenever I'm running and gunning I can hit a tin can from 100 yards away.  I don't know why you think that but I guess the people you have met suck at shooting.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

What are wrong with Gears' control system, it is simple and works well
