It's obvious that it works for China.

Everytime you see an american network refer to china, they always say "Communist China". They don't do that with any other country with their political affliance slapped to their country name when they speak of them.

They say it as if Communism is bad. but if it works for them, why is that so bad? Did they not notice that they are emerging as the next superpower? or the fact that they moved from third to first world so fast? or how about them over-taking americans in terms of world power in the near future?

I just don't get why communism is being blasted for being evil when obviously the chinese people approve of it. They only hate on China because of their so called "human rights" issue with Taiwan. And the people of Taiwan btw would be not part of China's emerging economy if it wasn't for them so i don't see why they are whining about it.

Like any country wants for themself, stay out of their business.

Feel free to move to China.  Let us know how that works out for you.

But what if VGChartz is blocked in China?

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it

@Retrasado: VGChartz is not blocked in China, I know because I posted from there.

The problem with China is not communism, it's the dictatorship. As I could see, China is far less communist than some European countries. It's a pretty capitalistic country in many ways.

If you want to try real communism, China is not where you'd go. To tell the truth, I'm not sure there's anywhere you can go to try it out nowadays.

True Communism was re-dubbed Marxism, as it was a lot more convenient than referring to what we call Communism now as "Socialist Dictatorship", "Socialistic Fascism", and so forth. The Marxist ideal goes far beyond normal human capacity on a large scale, however; it requires that all participants be active and responsible. This is very possible in communities of 100 or less; everybody knows everybody else well enough to be unable to pull the whole "I'm the leader now" gig. But on a scale larger than an extended neighborhood, true Communism is impossible due to a combination of inherent human laziness, unfamiliarity with fellow participants, and lust for power.
