Its horizontal and it the disc is properly placed in, bust still sounds really funny. The game is working now, but it was working completely fine last time as well before the thing popped up
yeah...it just happens. doesnt necessarily mean there is an issue. just wait till you get one that asks you to stick the disk in a 360.

This happened to me on my Gears and Mass Effect, get a DVD lens cleaner. It didn't prevent disk errors completely, but there are less errors and no more disk scratching after I cleaned the lens. If that doesn't work, you may need to send it back for repairs.
It happened again, after about an hour of play and about 10 levels up!!!!
Horizontal, or vertical?

horizontal, the game also seems to be more juddery, and i have noticed some glitches, so stuff is going wrong, though it does still work, I am just saving very frequently
I really don't know what to tell you then. The only disc i've had that got destroyed was because of my dumbassness. I moved the xbox360 from vertical to horizontal while the disc was playing... never again.

The game works fine for most of the time, but recently it has been juddery in places, it froze for one second, but twice now that message has come up, and that has been when it has been working fine
This sort of thing I've heard of from having the console sitting vertically but never horizontally....
Sounds like its already damaged the disc, I'd take your console back with the discs as proof.
