Forums - Nintendo - The Wii Isn't For Core Gamers?

What is A New Beginning? I never heard of it.

The description from gamespot states...."In this interactive eco-thriller, you must guide two characters through a world threatened by global climate cataclysm as they try to avert disaster". Thats about as much as I know about the game, kinda looks cool though.

And to answer DTG's question: 1) A few of them, most notably the RPGs, and

2) Nobody else cares.

I think most people do in fact care. Would you spend money on a movie featuring an awful plot?

Apparently, a lot of people do. Mostly because they're looking for entertainment, rather than some "deep" plot. I know that notion offends you deeply...which amuses me greatly. My advice remains the same as I gave you last time: you're in the minority here, your subjective tastes mean squat to the rest of us, and plenty of us don't like the stuff you do.

Deal with it.

WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO CONVINCE HERE?!!!

Sorry for my outburst, but these sorts of threads get really, really annoying.

Montana what in Gravy Train's Name are you talking about?

I haven't seen one of these threads listing upcomming Wii games in at least six months. What is with you and this new trend of claiming, "These sort of threads are getting really annoying" everytime you want to rail against something but don't have legitimate grounds to do so? It's really comming across as contempt for the Wii community. Ever since E3 and especially after the PS3 fell back beneath the 360 in weekly sales you've been having outbursts like this on a regular basis. Everytime someone tries to discuss something positive about the Wii you lash out like you think we're trying to rub it in other people's faces. GOD FORBID THE WII HAVE NICE THINGS!!! And spare us the "you own a Wii too" defense, simply owning a console doesn't mean you actually favor it as the generation's winner or don't hold its fandom in some form of contempt. Not that I'm saying you hate the Wii, but I want to cut off that avenue of escape before you try to use it to present yourself as simply a humble agent of objectivity.

For more than half of these games these are the first screen shots I've ever seen, and I'm sure that goes for alot of people here. And with all the games that end up cancled, moved or just lost in transit during development, its refeshing to see which ones are still around especially in a screenshot fashion.

In these last few months I've seen more 360 exclusive lists, PS3 exclusive lists and 360 vs PS3 exclusive threads than I've ever seen of any thread in my life discussing Wii games. Ever since the announcement of FF13 for the 360 people have been talking non-stop about the game libraries for the HD consoles with little attention given to the Wii so that only makes your comments here all the more baffling.

Again if anyone else wants to add to the list feel free to

You're the one who felt the need to start this. Now back it up and bulk your list up, otrherwise what was your point?

Who shit in your cornflakes this morning??? I am adding more and asking anyone else who wants to add to go ahead and do so. Get a life

You are? That's funny because sc already did your work for you. Why not just copy and paste his into the main topic so it can make that list less pathetic? If you're going to try and make a point that the Wii is for "core gamers" try and put more than a handful of games with dates ranging from this Fall all the way to Fall 2009. It's to the point that it looks like your intent was to prove the Wii didn't have much to offer at all.

"Sighs" Listen moron. The point was to show some of the core games coming out for the wii. Second of all your a useless troll who obviously doesn't have much of a life by babling on like a bewildered B*tch because you don't have any "intelligent" input to add to the post. I don't need to list the current core games for the wii as most people know what they are already. Anyways I'm over arguing with a mindless idiot.

I've spent plenty of money on games featuring awful stories, or even - gasp! - no story at all. Some of them are even my favorite games of all time.

Am I too plebeian for you?

EDIT: vvvvvvvvvv Haha, epic win.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

People spent money on MGS4, does that count?

Funny, consdering many people have claimed MGS to have had profound impact upon them and even a Texas philosophy professor felt compelled to write an essay on the games.
