Well wii did own box at America,PSP is owning DS at japan,PS3 has own XBox at america and europe so...

Dont think the sales of ps3 will rise so much except during the holidays untill final fantasy 13 comes out maybe White knight chronicles will help a little.

The point is that MS is seeing an increase and PS3 is seeing a decrease (allbeit temporary).

 

truth is both consoles are doing pretty horrible. If Ps3 is almost doubling Xbox sales, but is only doing 4k better, then that's bad haha

10k is pretty bad, sony is like the biggest thing in jpn.

Exactly. When MGS4 came out it caused a 1 week spike up to 70,000 or so units, but next week it was back down to normal again. They need consistent improvement rather than little spikes. Comparing the Media Create figures for the first 6 months of 2007 and the first 6 months of 2008, there's only a difference of around 8,000 so sales are pretty flat. That said, Nintendo Wii sales are way down comparing the same time period.

This is the same incorrect wording as those articles that come out claiming "PS3 catching up to Wii" whenever the monthly ratio is closer than the previous months. Like Wii outsold PS3 6:1 in May 2007, then only 4:1 the month after.

I guess what you meant was, X360 is catching up to PS3 in weekly sales.

I live in Japan. When I look at the PS3 Japanese software here, I see stuff all. The boost for M$ here is cause of Tales and such and will be short lived. When bigger Jap titles hit the PS3 like MGS4 here in Nippon, the 360 will not have a chance.

MS should pretty much shift their priorities to NA and Europe .

You do know that MGS4 came out already in Japan. It came out at pretty much the same time it came out in the rest of the world, which is what caused that one week PS3 spike to 70k-80K and now the PS3 has fallen back to its pre-MGS4 sales in Japan. Unless you haven't visited ANY videogame/electronic stores in Japan in the past 2 months or so you should have seen the game...

The boost for Tales should happen in this week's sales, not really last week as much.
