It does at least make me proud of my city that this will beat the Freedom Tower in height hehe. I don't want that building to be some sort of symbol for freedom...it just reminds me of Bush's term more than anything. The tallest building in the US shall remain in Chicago!

I'm in Oakland and I completely agree. I've been to New York a few times but haven't seen Chicago yet, but I'm glad Chicago's keeping its title. I hate New York.

Also, "Freedom Tower" is the dumbest name for anything ever. Nobody attacked freedom. A monument to freedom is stupid. We already have a Statue of Liberty and a Liberty Bell and a bunch of other junk. We're just getting repetitive now. We should have a new monument to something different and awesome, like a giant statue of Will Wright or something.

Buddy that is actually one beautiful piece of Architecture. I'm going to have to visit Chicago at some point in my life. As a response to Gobias, it is true that Dubai makes everything look like a joke, but I don't recall seeing a building that looked similar to this one there.

Also, RubangB, you live in Oakland, but you've never seen Chicago? Hell, you can see the skyscrapers from like 50 miles away hehe. You need to just go to Navy Pier or something for the hell of it...there's always something to do somewhere downtown.

Amp316...Sears tower has the most floors. But Sears tower stands at 1,451 feet. Two other buildings located in China and Taiwan are both taller. Shanghai World Financial Center located in China stands at 1,614ft and the one located in Taiwan stands at 1671ft.

Cn tower(Its a structure/building):Burj Dubai is taller by by 272ft...
