i just figured he meant out somewhere doing something, but yea, bars aren't really my hang out place either.

Ok...so...to take this question seriously then.

I'd be curious to see exactly how many people on this site actually have their "Friday" on Friday.  Certainly many of the posters work retail around here....and they usually get their "Fridays" on Tuesday.

Anyone have their weekend in the middle of the week?

Wednesday and Sunday for me.

As in go buy us some coffee.

Nothing wrong with going to the bar especially if your single. Who says you got to like or be interested in the girls to have a little fun with them. Its called SOCIALIZING...try it.

Sorry, but I prefer women who can get through a conversation without using the word "like" 500 times.

yea, i agree but i usually dont go to places like that looking to find that special someone. besides its either go to a club, bar, or a party which all have beer, music, and girls. or you could stay home and post on a forum :p

currently playing:

The fiance is out of town and I'm just too tired to go anywhere (long week) so sometimes it's nice to just have a nice to sit on the couch and do absolutely nothing and not have to be social in any way at all.

I actually hate bars. Always have, always will. Hated them for years. I hated them when I drank in them, I hated them when my bands played shows in them, and I hated them when I worked in them.

Here's my philosophy:

I have better music at home (over 22,000 songs, and several instruments to play).
I have cheaper booze at home ($6 bottle of booze instead of a $6 shot).
I have video games at home.
If I break shit at home, nobody beats me up or kicks me out.

But yeah, everybody's out of town tonight and I have the whole house to myself and I actually have a final paper due (via e-mail) at noon tomorrow. I should start it. Film theory crap.

The world will be a better place when more people realize that bars really aren't that great.

But why? I mean... I like to go to the movies, going to the mall, going to the park (I just went to the park a few hours ago)... but I also like to go to the bar.

Just because you don't like to go, it doesn't mean that bars are not great.

Most bars are shit, but there are some good ones too.

There's a place in Dallas called Deep Ellum and that place is interesting.  The area just goes up and down meaning that it will be a nice place for a while, beggers and crime come in making it a shithole, property values decrease, people come in and build it up, chase away the beggers and crime, property values rise, and then it just starts over again.

Anyways, during the shitty times there are some great bars there.  Go there on a weekday when it isn't filled with drunken college students and find one of the ones that has the live blues jams and it's great.

Exactly... the bar that I go is very nice. Very nice people, and every week you see the same people, the same faces, so everything is very nice. Fridays there is an acoustic bands playing rock ballads, and saturdays there is a band that play blues and classic rock.
