This is probably going to be a very empty thread, but here goes...

First off, in pure Jerry Springer style, let me start by saying that I love games, but...

Over the last few years, I have been burning up with guilt about the fact that as a child and teenager, I was a MASSIVE game pirate. I do my best to lambast and chasten all pirates I come into contact with now, but it is time to come clean. In an attempt to appease the gaming Gods (and rid myself of some guilt) I am making this confession:

Since 1987, these are individual system tallies of games I have pirated.
All numbers are approximated. The years have not been kind to my memory:
ZX Spectrum: pirated games (75)
NES: pirated games (50)
PSOne: pirated games (25+)
PC: 200+ (enumerable really) :(

So, that is 1000 apologies to Sir Clive Sinclair, 1000 apologies to Mario and Rockman, 1000 apologies to all the Sony bigwigs and 10000 apologies to every PC game producing company I swindled out of cash. Away spectres! Haunt me no more.

I have been "clean" since 2004.

Phew, for a second I thought you were going to say that Ninjas are better than Pirates (which they are most certainly not!).

Still, nice to see that you came clean, now you can worry about both game and gas prices. Huzzah for you!

I didn't, those people that do pirate can burn in hell for all I care (though I don't mind reformed pirates since they at least learned their lesson and don't do it anymore).

Just curious, you make it sound like you pirated games back in the NES days, did you?  I wasn't even aware you really could back then.

As for pirating NES games now, I should clear things up and say I don't have a problem with people pirating and emulating abandonware games that you just can't buy anymore.   Now as they become available through things like the VC I expect you to buy them, but until then I don't have a huge problem with it.
