I'll be picking this one up, no question. LBP exemplifies what's best about next-gen gaming - almost infinite malleability, painless customization, seamless controls, uproarious sense of humor, outrageously fun multiplayer, and the freedom to try, fail, and succeed.

I just wish more developers had the gumption to put these elements into their games.

Do you know which stores are giving away pre-order stuff?

Well theres about 7 games of interest to me coming out in October. Highlander, LittleBigPlanet, Midnight Club: LA, NBA 2K9, Ghostbusters, Singstar v2 bundle and Guitar Hero: World Tour. I'm definitely going to buy one game at full price. So it's between LBP and GH: WT Band kit (which will most likely be my 1st and last GH). Might just get both. The other games I listed will more than likely have price cuts or go on sale (more often) in months to come. So they can wait.

LBP is the next gen of gaming .. ofcourse I won't be stupid enough to let the chance to play such a gaming milestone slip by me .. or in other words "first day"

And if i would not own a PS3 already i could see LBP as one of the main reasons to buy one.
Which is quite funny because my first thought on LBP was wtf is that.

I plan to buy three copies, one for the PS3 I have now, and the other two each with there own PS3.

And people say this game won't sell hardware.

will be the 2nd preorder in my entire life.  The first was only done because the game was 20$ off by preordering.

I will definately be buying it!
