Thanks E3!

By SackBoy103 Last Updated: 8/8/2008 12:33:29 PM

Now that the dust has settled from E3, we'd like to thank our gaming press for the AAA treatment (attention, acclaim and accolades)!.  The past month has been a morale boost for the team with great articles hitting the internet and a list of magazine cover stories and interview stories.  For those who missed it, here are a few of our favorite E3 coverage in this week’s edition of SackBoy in the news.  (Link away!)

"All I can say is that in E3’s closing minutes on Thursday, LBP was the one game I rushed back to play again." - The New York Times

"Time will tell if LittleBigPlanet will spark a revolution of YouTube proportions, but all the indications are that the game will be a joy to play even if you never delve into the creation of new content." – BBC

"This E3 properly justified the volume of hype that Little Big Planet had amassed since its startling debut at 2007's Game Developers Conference." - 1UP.com

"Like a fine wine, Media Molecule's DIY platformer seems to get better and better with time." – GameSpy

"Simply revolutionary." – Playboy

The site will be continually updated until the game releases, and I will be updating this post when said updates arrive.

Make sure to click on the Sackboy at the top of the page and mess around with the stickers!  Feel free to post any cool banners you come up with like mine (naughty pictures are welcome for the lulz, like this one from neogaf).

good good, keep it rolling

I still feel they should already release something (flash-based?) that will allow gamers to play-test making levels. It'll give the community something to do until the release and it'll enable them to immediately offer downloads when it releases.

I like the big eyes with the YEAH! haha.

day one purchase for me, so many ps3 games out this year, i dont know if il be able to get them all.

LBP should be one of the best titles out this gen

Playing and finishing games first>>>>>>>>>>Then talking!

Opinions are subjective and just like moods, can change.

TOP 12: Deus Ex, Shadow Man, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturn, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, Metroid Prime, Zelda (series), Uncharted (series), FF Tactics, Persona (series), Demons Souls, Vagrant Story.

MOST WANTED: Deus Ex: Human Revolution, The Last Guardian, ICO/Shadow OTC HD

Hehehe, I still wonder what the unexpected thing that they are going to announce is

The website is very cool. I love the art design. They should put a little flash game on their or something.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

The cuteness alone guarantees that i'll purchase it. XD

Well, the stickers thing is essentially a flash game, and you'll see it's had some great results if you read through this neogaf thread.  :P
